Student Ministry Assistant

About the Role

Teach students to love God and train students to make disciples. Advance the mission of Wellspring Students by providing support to the Student Minister in organizational, administrative, programming, teaching, and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• MDWK - Wednesday evening service (4 hrs):
  • Help set up and tear down.
  • Coordinate check-in and help assimilate new students.
  • Fill in as needed as a small group leader.
  • First-time visitor follow-up.
  • Teach as needed.
• Student Sunday: Sunday morning bible study (2 hrs):
  • Prep to lead small group each week.
  • Coordinate check-in and tear-down.
  • Teach large-group time regularly.
• Administrative Responsibilities (4 hrs):
  • Attend student staff meetings bi-weekly.
  • Plan social media calendar and create weekly social media posts.
  • Planning and implementation of student ministry programming/events/systems.
  • Assist in training, oversight, and mentorship of student leadership team.
  • Meet with students for care/discipleship.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Affirmation of Wellspring Church’s Statement of Beliefs
• Testimony of salvation and demonstrated commitment to gospel proclamation
• Personal passion for student ministry and discipleship
• Ability to self-start and faithfully steward work responsibilities
• Capacity to cultivate and develop relationships with students, parents, and volunteers
• Attributes of a humble spirit, teachability, and reliability
