Student Learning Coach, Alpha - $120,000/year USD

About the role

Alpha is hiring a Student Learning Coach to lead high-energy, one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students, coach them individually and in small groups, and assess their mastery of essential life skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading high-energy, one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students
• Coaching students individually and in small groups using Coachbot analytics
• Achieving at least 90% of students hitting their weekly academic goals
• Motivating students to achieve ambitious goals and develop confidence, resilience, and ownership
• Analyzing weekly student performance data to identify patterns and improve outcomes

Requirements

• Willing to work in person at an Alpha campus in Malibu, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Boston, MA; New York City, NY; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; or Palm Beach, FL (relocation support provided)
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• At least 3 years of experience working directly with K-8 students
• Ability to motivate students to achieve difficult goals
• Experience coaching youth sports, debate, theater, camps, after-school programs, or other performance-based activities
• Personal record of high achievement in academics, athletics, leadership, or another competitive field
• Strong stage presence and storytelling skills
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
