Student Laboratory Aide 2 - Microbiology/Immunology

Hourly Pay Rate: $12.00 - $20.00

About the role

This position supports the department/organization in various administrative and research tasks within a laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, cleaning, and storing lab equipment
• Preparing solutions and samples for research purposes
• Assisting with safety paperwork
• Cleaning the laboratory
• Receiving packages
• Processing lab findings and data entry
• Compiling instrument usage records
• Interacting with researchers, test subjects, and/or patients
• Assisting with administrative day-to-day tasks

Qualifications

• Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
• Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
• Prior or active enrollment in a particular class or course of study (potentially)
• Relative, prior experience working in a laboratory (potentially)
• Another laboratory position (potentially)
