Responsibilities
- Education and development of independent living skills in foster care children referred by the Department of Social Services in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct monthly home and community visits.
- Affiliate in developing and facilitating Independent Living Skills Workshops.
- Complete a Step Up Independent Living assessment and treatment plan in partnership with client, foster family and caseworker.
- Maintain client case records in a timely manner and in compliance with the agency and other regulatory standards.
- Complete all required reports, correspondence and other paperwork and submit by the requested deadlines.
- Cookordinate service efforts with DSS caseworker regarding client's plan.
- Attend conferences, trainings and workshops as appropriate.
Qualifications
- MSW Generalist (1st year): 15 hours/week or MSW Specialized (2nd year): 15 hours/week
- Relevant knowledge and/or experience working with high need individuals/families.
- Proficient computer skills with MS Office.
- Valid and clean driver's license.
Schedule
Flexible-M/F based on program needs. Wednesday nights are required. Fall 2026-Spring 2027
