Responsibilities
- Focus on the utilization of Positive Youth Development Principles to encourage vulnerable adolescents towards choices and behaviors that offer greater opportunities for personal, social, educational and economic success.
- Assist in planning and organizing monthly workshops and attending Active Parenting classes offered.
- Assist in completing intakes, assessments and necessary documentation for tasks completed with clients.
- Provide case management, individual short-term counseling, advocacy, and referrals to other services as needed for clients.
- Conduct monthly home and community visits.
- Complete and maintain client case records in a timely manner and in compliance with agency and other regulatory standards.
- Complete all required reports, correspondence and other paperwork and submit by requested deadlines.
- Attend conferences, trainings, outreach events and workshops.
Qualifications
- MSW Generalist (1st year): 15 hours/week or MSW Specialized (2nd year): 15 hours/week
- Relevant knowledge and/or experience working with high need individuals/families.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Valid New York State driver's license with a safe and responsible driving history to conduct home/field visits and transport clients.
Schedule
- Opportunity available during the fall 2026 and Spring 2027 Academic School Years.
- 14-21 Hours Weekly, Some evening hours may be required.
- Hours vary Monday thru Friday, Days are flexible.
