STUDENT INTERN - E&I MAINTENANCE

About the role

This position is at Dakota Gasification Company in Beulah, ND. It is a temporary summer position for approximately May 17, 2027 through August 20, 2027, performing basic duties related to the repair and maintenance of plant electrical and instrumentation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance and repair of plant electrical and instrumentation equipment in a safe, logical, and efficient manner, in compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting and assist in the installation/repair/maintenance of the following:
  • Distributive Control System
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s)
  • Temperature and vibration monitoring equipment
  • Variable Frequency Drives
  • Instrumentation
  • Electrical systems, i.e. conduit, lighting, enclosures, etc.
  • Control Valves
• Support the annual Family Night event, including setup, participation, and cleanup, as part of departmental responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be enrolled as a full-time student in a two-year Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Technology program with two semesters completed, or recent graduate (within the past 12 months).
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Transcript required at time of application. If your transcript is not attached at time of application, your application will not be reviewed.

Qualifications

• Previous internship or relevant work experience.
• Additional certifications or coursework in field of study.

$28.00/hour
