About the role

This role is essential for timely record processing, helping to reduce delays in program admissions and in student clinical placements.

Responsibilities

  • Processes all CNA (STNA) health records, background checks, and drug screen clearances.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and interprets documents submitted by all CNA (STNA) students’ health records to determine completion of health record requirements.
  • Advises CNA students of any deficiencies in their health record and indicates appropriate corrective action.
  • Adheres to Federal and State regulations and College practices and guidelines to ensure institutional compliance.
  • Displays technical competence working within the student information system, document management/workflow system, and other electronic tools.
  • Scans and indexes all background check reports, student waivers, and adverse letters.
  • Maintains student health information to document encounter and action taken.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and practices sound ethical judgment toward privacy.
  • Provides guidance to students on documentation requirements and assists with navigating the health records system.
  • Answers office-related questions and provides guidance or advice on department and campus policies and processes.
  • Monitors office communications (phone, email, chat, etc.) to disperse or resolve inquiries.
  • Contributes toward achieving the office goal of successfully servicing students.
  • Assists with the quarterly report of health records compliance.
  • Fosters and maintains a safe environment of respect and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in a healthcare-related field.
  • State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).

*An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework, and experience may qualify a candidate.

Pay

$18.81 per hour

Schedule

Full time, 40 scheduled hours per week
