Student - Greenhouse Assistant Fall

Summary of Responsibilities

• Follow methodologies in carrying out routine tasks.
• Maintain work area and equipment.
• Provide administrative assistance to instructors.

Qualifications

• Must be a current UVU student.
• Completion of Biology 1010 or higher level of understanding of the Life Sciences (some courses may require a more advanced knowledge).
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Skills

• Accuracy and close attention to detail.
• Strong analytical judgment.
• Familiarity with automated laboratory equipment.
• Computer literacy and experience with Laboratory Information Systems.

Additional Details

• Minimum of 10 hours per week, maximum of 15–20 hours.
• Must be able to work in hot or uncomfortable environments.
• Preference given to botany majors and biology majors.
