About the Role

Salt Lake Community College Athletic Department is seeking part-time hourly staff for the following positions:

  • Game/event ticket takers and ushers
  • Front desk receptionist and data entry
  • Concession workers
  • Laundry worker

On-the-job training will be provided as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Customer service
  • Operating card readers and point-of-sale technology
  • Restocking
  • Food preparation
  • Operating industrial washers and dryers
  • Cleaning and sanitizing
  • Data entry

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Food safety and sanitation
  • Phone and email etiquette
  • Willingness to learn

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • SLCC student with a GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Currently enrolled in 6 credit hours for fall semester
  • Currently enrolled in 6 credit hours for spring semester
  • Awarded Federal Work Study program
  • Completed the FAFSA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Current food handler's permit
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience cashiering and/or with point-of-sale software
  • Familiarity with basic rules and gameplay for basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, and volleyball
