Student Employment Pool- Early Childhood Teacher Assistant
Position Information
The primary purpose of this position is to provide young children ages 4-5 with the activities in the areas of fine and gross motor, social-emotional skills, and enrich their cognitive skills. The prospective employee will be fully responsible for planning age-appropriate activities and implementing an after-school program. The prospective employee will be responsible for recording attendance, times the child is picked up, and any additional paperwork. The prospective employee will be responsible for maintaining an environment that is free of danger and she/he must have the ability to administer CPR and first aid should the need arise. The prospective employee will be responsible for maintaining an open line of communications with parents of these children as well as ECLC staff.

The Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) is dedicated to providing childcare that supports the holistic development of each child and family in a safe, educational environment. The center focuses on fostering social development, promoting health habits, and encouraging creativity and independence in young learners.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for children aged 4-5.
- Record attendance and track pick-up times.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Administer CPR and first aid as needed.
- Maintain open communication with parents and ECLC staff.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school and one year of related childcare experience.
- Currently enrolled in a Early Childhood or Elementary B.S. Program (preferred).
Qualifications
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to apply childcare techniques and promote socialization and behavior skills.
- Knowledge of curriculum implementation and feedback.
- Ability to maintain a safe environment and provide first aid.
