About the role
Academic Support Staff will assist athletic staff in various areas of student-athlete success. Duties include helping with exam preparation, reviewing course material, correcting grammar and syntax in essays, providing study tips, monitoring study hall, and offering general academic support. Tutors will work with student-athletes across different academic subjects based on need and comfort level.
Responsibilities
- Assist student-athletes with studying for exams
- Review and explain course material
- Correct grammar and syntax in essays
- Provide study tips and strategies
- Monitor and support study hall sessions
- Offer general academic support to student-athletes
- Tutor in specific courses where you earned a B or higher
Requirements
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Earned a B or higher in the course you wish to tutor
- Strong communication skills
- Available for a minimum of 10 hours per week
- Flexible schedule that works around your school commitments
