Responsibilities
- Engages in individual developmental and/or educational conversations with students.
- Appropriately refers to university and community resources and services.
- Mets, refers, and follows-up with students regarding general questions, concerns, and/or needs.
- Consults with faculty, staff, and parents on topics including, but not limited to concerning behavior, university/community resources, student rules, and absences.
- Serves as a follow-up support for the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) members.
- Receives CIRT cases from on-call team members after immediate assistance is provided and performs the necessary follow-up services to assist students.
- Documents student interactions using software and/or databases provided.
- Completes and documents appropriate assessments of student needs and concerns.
- Captures and coordinates assigned programming such as Silver Taps, Former Foster initiatives or Pocket Pantry program.
- Provides training and presentations for campus stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years’ experience in student affairs work or related specialty area, with two years of experience in Student Affairs.
- PREFERRED: Master’s degree in student affairs, counseling or related field. Experience with case management in a higher education setting.
