Student Council Asst Advisor

Position Summary

The Student Council Asst Advisor position supports the creation of engaging programs and services that encourage self-discovery and prepare students for lifelong learning and exploration. The role involves fostering a positive school culture through various initiatives and promoting student voice.

Job Description

• Plan and attend meetings (at least monthly) before or after school
• Form the council through the application process
• Plan activities and events (Spirit week, fundraising, service projects, school dances)
• Promote participation in school-wide events
• Support communication between students and staff regarding changes/suggestions that affect the building
• Support Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS)
• Promote school spirit and pride through social media
• Attend Discover middle school night event for incoming students
• Enforce and model positive leadership at all times
• Perform other relevant duties regarding the program
