About the role

Under the direct supervision of the Principal or designee in working with the Student/Campus Supervisor II, promote positive student behavior to assure compliance with school rules and take action to maintain a safe environment; enforce school and District rules, regulations and policies for the safety and security of students, staff and property according to established procedures; supervise, monitor and control school campus and parking areas to assure facilities are properly secured; assist visitors with campus orientation and directions; observe and control behavior of students and determine if unauthorized visitors are on the premises; approach visitors to determine the reasons for their presence and provide assistance; complete various records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Promote positive student behavior and ensure compliance with school rules
• Enforce school and District rules, regulations, and policies for safety and security
• Maintain a safe environment for students, staff, and property
• Supervise, monitor, and control school campus and parking areas
• Assist visitors with campus orientation and directions
• Observe and control student behavior, identifying unauthorized visitors
• Approach visitors to determine their presence and provide assistance
• Complete various records and reports

Requirements

• Any combination equivalent to completion of twelfth grade, supplemented by training or coursework in crowd control, behavior modification techniques, or a closely related field
• Completion of or current enrollment in a school security training course that meets the SB1626 requirements (SB1626 training is a requirement for this position)
• One year of experience working with middle school-age students performing supervision and campus control and/or other appropriate related work experience is desirable

Pay

Pay Range: $20.90 - $25.44 per hour (Range 19)

Schedule

Part-time, school year employment

3 hours per day, Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
