Student Automotive Internship

Responsibilities

• Complete 135 hours at an approved facility (17-20 hours weekly)
• Attend a one-hour and 40-minute weekly seminar class
• Complete all site and class-related assignments

Requirements

• A 2.0 GPA or higher (Automotive Chairperson or Dean approval)
• Not share the City of Chicago’s (2FM) confidential forms
• Complete a complete Automotive Cooperative Learning Experience application
• Attend a mandatory orientation
• Completion of all required coursework (Approved by Automotive Chairperson or Dean)
• Participate in a criminal background check (2FM Requirement)
• Participate in the City of Chicago’s indebtedness check (2FM Requirement)
• Participate in the City of Chicago’s child support status check (2FM Requirement)
• Availability of 17-20 hours per week to complete the required cooperative learning experience in a (2FM) approved facility

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time or part-time student at Kennedy-King College
• Willingness to learn and ability to work collaboratively with the (2FM) team

Pay

The salary for this position is $17 per hour. The rate paid is in accordance with City Colleges approved salary scale.
