Student Assistant - Nursing

The Student Assistant/Transport Helper provides assistance to the Patent Transport staff to enable them to provide for patient care needs. Transport Helpers will be placed in the Patient Transport department and assignments will be determined by the Patient Transport supervisor at the start of the shift.

About the role

• Current matriculated SUNY Upstate students, or other approved matriculated college students
• No more than 29 hours per week
• No prior clinical experience necessary, training is provided

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient transport services
• Work on a rotating schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• Minimum qualifications: Current matriculated SUNY Upstate students, or other approved matriculated college students
• Maximum hours: No more than 29 hours per week
• Preferred qualifications: Work days are Monday through Friday evenings

• Must be a current matriculated SUNY Upstate student or other approved matriculated college student
• Hours cannot exceed 29 per week
• No prior clinical experience required, training provided
