Student Ambassador
About the role
The Cecil Ambassador Program is a paid student leadership opportunity for Cecil College students who are interested in developing personal and professional skills while serving as advocates for Cecil College. The program provides opportunities for campus involvement, networking, and hands-on professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Promote and attend recruitment events, college fairs, community events, and other college programs.
- Aid the Admissions office in student recruitment efforts.
- Provide campus tours for prospective students and their families.
- Share personal Cecil College experiences ("your Cecil College story") at events and presentations.
- Maintain knowledge of Cecil College academic programs, student life opportunities, and the admissions process.
- Perform office and clerical duties as needed.
- Participate in a mandatory Ambassador training sessions.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Submit electronic timesheets biweekly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled as a Cecil College student and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA throughout employment.
- Commit to working at least five (5) events per academic year.
- Be available to work evenings and occasional weekends, based on event needs.
Qualifications
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy interacting with prospective students and families. Demonstrate a dependable, professional demeanor and represent Cecil College in a positive manner.

Pay
This is a non-exempt (hourly), overtime eligible position; Grade 101; salary will be $15/hr.

Be available to work evenings and occasional weekends, based on event needs.
