Student Administrative Aide 1 - Athletics - Marketing & Promotions

About the Role

This fan experience position with Tulane Athletics offers a unique opportunity for students to work in an NCAA Division-I athletic department and promote Tulane Athletics. Student workers will assist with the development and execution of promotions, game presentation, fan experience elements, and student engagement efforts for designated Tulane Athletic teams. Gain hands-on experience in event execution, introductory marketing strategies, and overall professional development.

Opportunities to learn are available in the following areas: event management, graphic design, special events, sport event preparation, game entertainment, producing sport-specific game scripts, promotions, and project/program administration. Opportunities for advancement (such as sport “leads,” in-office projects, and other open positions) are available to those who gain experience and show a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and execution of promotions and game presentation
• Support fan experience elements and student engagement efforts for Tulane Athletic teams
• Complete 2 office hours each week, scheduled around classes and other obligations
• Work assigned athletic events, including evenings and weekends
• Be available to work all home football game weekends (specific dates: 9/12, 9/26, 10/16, 10/24, 11/7, 11/21 in Fall 2026)

Requirements

• Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
• Commitment to the entire school year (August to May)
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and variable hours (up to 15 hours in peak weeks)

Pay

This is a paid position with an hourly rate ranging from $10.00 to $20.00.

Schedule

• Positions run from August to May, coinciding with the school year
• Typically 1-2 events per week, plus 2 office hours
• Busy periods in November and February with up to 15 hours per week
• Lighter periods may require as few as 2 hours per week
