DEPARTMENT INFORMATION

The Student Accounts Office (SAO) is committed to providing excellent service to students throughout their educational experience at the George Washington University. SAO's goal is to ensure that student accounts are billed, collected, and reconciled in a timely manner that is compliant with university policy and all applicable federal regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: tuition, fees, room and board. processing refunds, and billing for third party agreements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position.
  • Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Processing, credit, or customer service experience.
  • Experience with financial auditing and researching of documents and financial records.
