Job Description

The applicant should be capable of managing budgets, discipline tasks, and tracking projects while being responsible for client deliverables. Preparation and checking of design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and project plans. Additional duties may include field assessment and inspection of structures and facilities.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of design experience for CA role. Five (5) years of experience is preferred.
  • P.E, Registration required in the jurisdiction of the position or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • DOT experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills and capable of developing technical writing, and communications skills.
  • Ability to make mathematical computations and design engineering projects.
  • Ability to use engineering instruments and tools including computer workstations and bridge engineering software such as Open Bridge, MathCAD, RISA, and LPile.
  • Demonstrate skill in MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  • Open Roads and Civil 3D experience a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier.

Working Conditions and Environment

This position will require general supervision and will have to use independent judgment within established guidelines. Generally, uses the advanced knowledge to analyze, interpret, or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances. Will need the ability to establish rapport quickly with others working on the same project, and be able to promote a positive team environment. Working knowledge of dealing with a diverse population while using tact, diplomacy, and respect.
