This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units. Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, with core products such as fuselages, pylons, nacelles, and wing components, focusing on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering requirements, work orders, prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, verbal and electronic information to manufacture parts and assemblies to quality requirements.
• Set up and perform all manual assembly operations and related machine functions required to accomplish assignments.
• Use precision measuring instruments required to accomplish tasks.
• Assemble and mate structural parts and assemblies by drilling, routing, reaming, countersinking, spotfacing, counterboring, and installing fasteners utilizing hand-powered tools.
• Successfully pass a skills demonstration.
• Utilize tooling in the assembly of components into sub-assemblies or end items.
• Verify work performed is per work instructions and meets process and/or engineering specification; identify discrepancies per applicable procedure.
• Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs per procedure.
• Perform work within allotted schedules.
• Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training and assisting employees at all classification levels.

Requirements

• Must be willing and able to work any shift.
• This is a union-represented position.
• Must meet export control compliance requirements as a “U.S. Person” (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Pay

$20.00/hour, with potential to earn up to $32.69/hour in accordance with the terms of the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
