Key Responsibilities
- Design, integrate, and implement telecommunications and data communications structured cabling systems and related infrastructure.
- Develop detailed designs for new structured cabling systems, as well as integrations or modifications within existing environments.
- Develop, manage, and coordinate drawing revisions, ensuring structured cabling designs are aligned with other design disciplines.
- Review drawings and specifications prepared by others for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Provide on-site inspection and technical support for cable installation projects.
- Apply knowledge of design and documentation processes, professional practices, design standards, and budget cost development.
- Utilize applicable BICSI, EIA/TIA 568-B, and NEC code requirements in project planning and execution.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings and construction documents for data and network cabling projects.
Requirements
- A minimum of five years of experience in telecommunications estimating and engineering.
- Prior engineering experience is required.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree, BICSI and RCDD certifications, and experience with AutoCAD are preferred, but not required.
