About the role
Constructs and/or repairs metal products either manually or by machine.
Responsibilities
- Welds a range of metals including but not limited to mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, brass, die cast, chrome metal.
- Aware of safety regulations and must wear protective equipment to minimize heat and noise levels, and to guard against corrosive chemicals.
- Ability to read blueprints and weld maps preferred.
- Ensure all welds pass QA/QC approval.
- Proper placement of stencils.
- Follow all fabrication guidelines.
Requirements
- Pass a Weld Qualification Test.
- Provide your own personal tools in a lockable toolbox.
- Available for short-term travel.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position objects and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, or otherwise move around on a continuous basis.
