Structural Services Technician - Midwest

Position Overview

This position performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: installing bird deterrence and exclusion solutions, cleaning bird fecal matter, trapping birds, and explaining or representing the company and our science-based solutions to customers.

Structural Technician Responsibilities

• Spending at least half of their time onsite at customer locations, installing, maintaining, or evaluating solutions.
• Meting regularly with the Wild Goose Chase team (virtually or in person) to communicate on status of jobs, receive future assignments, contribute feedback and ideas to improve team processes, etc.

Key Requirements

• Based out of the Midwest, willing to travel by car and airplane across the U.S. to service customers.
• Preferred candidates based in the Chicago metro area, Indianapolis metro area, Milwaukee metro area, and Detroit metro area.
• Outdoorsy, comfortable working with wildlife, and/or a trades person comfortable working with handheld and power tools for structural installations.
• Hands-on problem solvers and collaborative team-players with can-do attitudes.
• Valid state driver's license, clean MVR, drug & substance free, comfortable working in environments where there is wildlife (birds) present, comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, able to travel up to 60% of the time, able to regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds, able to safely carry, set up, and load/unload ladders up to 28 feet by yourself, able to safely climb and work from fixed, extension, and step ladders of varying heights, able to bend, stoop, and kneel multiple times throughout the day to carry and install equipment and materials, able to safely use a variety of fall protection and PPE equipment, able to pass a medical evaluation and fit test for respirator use, able to operate a variety of handheld and power tools, with training, able to operate and work from aerial man lifts, with training, able to load, hook up, and safely tow trailers with appropriate vehicles, comfortable working at heights, able to keep safety top priority and take proper safety measures depending on the circumstance (such as wearing proper PPE), familiar with and able to operate Microsoft Suite solutions, including, but not limited to, Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Teams etc., open to learning and utilizing other project management software as required.
