Structural Project Engineer
Responsibilities
Aid in directing, coordinating, planning, organizing, integrating, and completing engineering projects within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
Communicate with clients to understand project requirements.
Plan and formulate engineering programs and organize project staff according to project requirements.
Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of buildings and materials using various building codes.
Manage other design team members and supervise the work of engineers and draft persons.
Direct project staff in preparing contract documents, such as drawings and specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Master’s degree in structural engineering preferred.
- Professional Engineer and/or SE License preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally.
Qualifications
Candidates should have experience in medium to large-size projects such as cultural buildings, office buildings, health care, research facility design, and tenant renovation work preferably in a consulting engineering firm environment.
Skills
Proficiency in structural engineering software and tools.
