Structural Project Engineer

Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis, design and detailing for diverse structure types using various building codes
- Coordinate design work with in-house staff and other design professionals including Contractors, Architects and Engineers
- Prepare construction documents within a Building Information Modeling (BIM) environment
- Develop precise design specifications and calculations for active projects
- Create technical reports with clear structure and language that clients can easily understand
- Collaborate with contractors to resolve construction issues
- Maintain schedules, process change orders, and monitor budgets
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university (Master's degree strongly preferred)
- Engineer In Training (EIT) certification
- 3-6 Years of relevant experience in structural analysis and design
- Experience using RISA and RAM, or similar design/analysis software
- Experience with various materials including but not limited to steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
- Preferred: Experience with complex or large-scale engineering projects, NYC specific projects and understanding of local requirements, Experience with Revit modeling software, Strong technical writing skills for reports, memos, and calculations, Strong verbal and written communication abilities with cross-disciplinary collaboration skills, Detail-oriented and organized approach with ability to complete multiple tasks under a deadline
