Structural Project Engineer

About the role

Siegfried is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to lead the design and production of structural construction documents for a variety of projects in the public and private sectors. This includes commercial, industrial, and public infrastructure buildings.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of structural construction document production for public and private sector projects
• Structural design of commercial, industrial, and civic buildings
• Conducting structural condition assessments and preparing technical evaluations
• Managing project schedules, budgets, and client communication
• Participation in business development, including scoping and bidding new work
• Mentoring and supporting the development of junior engineering staff
• Cross-team coordination with internal teams and external consultants to ensure project success

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• California Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• California Structural Engineer (SE) license in progress preferred
• 4+ years of experience in structural engineering
• Experience designing buildings to California Building Code standards
• Proficiency in RISA-3D, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with REVIT, DSA, OSHPD, or bridge design is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage clients and internal teams
