About the role
LVI Associates is representing a leading global structural engineering consultancy in its search for a Structural Project Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, technically driven organization that delivers complex projects across mission critical, aviation, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building projects across multiple sectors
- Develop engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Cook up structural systems and design solutions with architectural and MEP disciplines
- Lead and mentor junior engineering team members on project tasks and deliverables
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and design milestones in collaboration with senior leadership
- Review material selections and structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
- Participate in construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, shop drawing reviews, and site observations
- Conduct technical investigations, assessments, and peer reviews
- Attend client meetings, document project discussions, and support relationship management efforts
- Contribute to business development initiatives and help maintain strong client partnerships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis
- Master's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis
- Minimum 4+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building design
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of residence
- Experience utilizing RAM Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, Revit, and BIM 360
- Strong knowledge of structural building systems and applicable building codes
- Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage project responsibilities and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
