About the role
The Structural Project Engineer is responsible for designing and overseeing the structural aspects of various construction projects. This includes creating detailed blueprints, ensuring compliance with building codes, and collaborating with other engineers and architects.
Responsibilities
- Designing structural components for new buildings and renovations
- Reviewing and approving subcontractor work for structural integrity
- Collaborating with architects and other engineers to ensure structural compatibility
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of building codes and industry standards
- Preparing and presenting project reports and design documents
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in structural engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Strong understanding of structural analysis and materials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in structural software such as AutoCAD and SAP2000
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of construction processes and materials
