About the role

As a Structural Project Engineer at AKS, you will be part of a remarkable journey to design and construct structures that stand as testaments to our commitment to excellence and the unique character throughout the Pacific Northwest. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with our teams and support cross-office work while engaging in a variety of projects ranging from commercial, industrial, educational, and hospital structural design, seismic retrofitting, equipment anchorage design, and single-span bridges.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structural analysis and design for a wide range of projects.
  • Generate detailed structural plans and specifications.
  • Perform site visits and structural observations.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and architects.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Contribute to the assessment and enhancement of existing structures.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and staff.
  • Tackle complex structural challenges with ingenuity and precision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering (required).
  • MS or M.Eng Degree with Structural emphasis (preferred).
  • 4-7 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a dedication to delivering exceptional work.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites when necessary.
