Structural & Payload Design Engineer

About the role

We drive innovation in aircraft structural and interior system design by integrating advanced engineering principles throughout the product lifecycle. Our team is dedicated to developing, documenting, and validating solutions that set industry benchmarks for safety, performance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design for aircraft interiors and associated components.
• Lead product design verification and maintain structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element models, and simulation tools throughout the product lifecycle.
• Guide test plan development, support test execution, and analyze/report results to ensure systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manage supplier development and production activities, and drive innovation by investigating emerging technologies for future product designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a STEM discipline from an accredited course of study.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, design criteria, and engineering release processes.
• 5+ years of experience with 3-D modeling such as Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, SketchUp, Pro-E, or 3DX, or equivalent.
• Experience working within cross-functional teams to integrate business needs and support product development through production and certification.
