Structural Intern
About the Role
Walter P Moore offers an internship program for well-prepared students from top engineering schools to expand their education in structural engineering. As an engineering intern in our structural engineering group, you will participate on project teams for architectural projects of all types, including commercial, sports, healthcare, and public assembly buildings. You will also be eligible to participate in our in-house staff development program.
Responsibilities
- Participate on project teams for diverse architectural projects (commercial, sports, healthcare, public assembly buildings).
- Engage in the firm’s in-house staff development program.
Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering or completion of a minimum of 24 hours of engineering coursework toward a BS in Civil Engineering.
- Accepted in or plans to apply for a graduate program in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
- EIT preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible scheduling but must be consistently available a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Pay
- San Francisco: $27.60–$38.40/hr
- New York City: $26.45–$36.80/hr
- Los Angeles & Washington, DC: $25.30–$35.20/hr
- San Diego & Chicago: $24.15–$33.60/hr
- Denver: $23–$32/hr
This position’s pay range is an estimate based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, industry experience, and internal equity. Walter P Moore reserves the right to adjust offers within the posted range.
