Structural Engineering Internship - Facilities

About the role

Olsson's Facility Engineering and Design team provides comprehensive services for large commercial developments, healthcare facilities, laboratories, educational institutions, data centers, and military installations. As a structural engineering student intern, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You'll be part of a team, working for our clients on projects with our experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all areas of conventional structural design and analytical duties
• Prepare calculations and write technical reports
• Assist with construction document production in Revit
• May have opportunities to travel to job sites for construction observation

You bring to the team:

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to contribute and work well on a team
• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil or architectural engineering (structural emphasis)
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Strong problem-solving and math skills
