Structural Engineer - Bridge

Responsibilities

• Perform structure related design for transportation projects.
• Assigns tasks to and coordinates with entry-level engineers, technicians or administrative staff.
• Affords assistance in determining schedule and budget requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Structural Engineering preferred).
• 5 to 10 years of experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is required (Professional Engineer certification preferred).
• Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A desire to work in a team environment.
• Experience with structure related design for transportation projects including: Bridges, Retaining Walls, Culverts, Sign Structures, Contract Plans, Engineer’s Estimates, Construction Specifications, Shop Drawing Review, and Driving.
• Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.
