Structural Engineer - Bridge
Responsibilities
- Perform structure related design for transportation projects.
- Assigns tasks to and coordinates with entry-level engineers, technicians or administrative staff.
- Affords assistance in determining schedule and budget requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Structural Engineering preferred).
- 5 to 10 years of experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is required (Professional Engineer certification preferred).
- Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A desire to work in a team environment.
- Experience with structure related design for transportation projects including: Bridges, Retaining Walls, Culverts, Sign Structures, Contract Plans, Engineer’s Estimates, Construction Specifications, Shop Drawing Review, and Driving.
- Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.
