Structural Designer - Mid-Level

About the role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Structural Designer to join our Power Engineering team. The role involves developing and reviewing BIM models for foundations and steel structures, creating plans and details, collaborating with engineers and multidisciplinary teams, mentoring less experienced team members, ensuring design consistency, safety, and operability, and assisting in establishing departmental standards and tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team members and review project information
• Ensure design quality and safety compliance
• Report progress to Lead Designer
• Resolve design issues with input from engineers
• Contribute to standards and mentoring
• Develop and review BIM models for foundations and steel structures
• Create plans and details
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements

• 10+ years of structural design experience using Tekla
• Vocational training in CAD
• Strong understanding of multi-discipline engineering documents and data exchange via BIM
• Leadership skills and effective communication
• Proficiency with computer systems and basic software applications
• Professional representation and collaboration abilities
