About the role

The Structural Designer II position is available in Irvine and involves working with the firm's Civic, Education, and Healthcare markets. Key responsibilities include providing structural analysis, calculations, and design support, assisting with the production of structural construction documents, and developing an understanding of structural construction document organization and production.

Responsibilities

  • Provide structural analysis, calculations, and design support as assigned from sketches, verbal, or written instructions.
  • Aid in the production of structural construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Develop an understanding of structural construction document organization and production.
  • Develop time-management skills, complete tasks accurately and on schedule, and take initiative to seek out guidance or additional tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to office standards of design, quality control, and production.
  • Collaborate effectively with a variety of individuals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering program in Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis).
  • 2-4 years structural design experience.
  • Intermediate skills in Revit to provide software support.
  • Intermediate computer and software skills including MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Structural internship experience preferred.
  • Structural software experience with Bluebeam, ETABS, Enercalc, Risa, or SAP.
  • Engineer in Training certification.

Skills

  • Thorough understanding of the design, detailing, and construction of concrete, masonry, steel, and wood structures of all types and sizes and their associated analysis methods.

Pay

$81,000 - $100,000 annually. Compensation and level DOE.

Schedule

Hybrid work schedule.
