Structural Designer I

About the role

The Structural Designer I position is available in Sacramento, focusing on the Civic, Education, and Healthcare markets. This role involves providing structural analysis support to project teams, assisting with the production of structural construction documents, and developing an understanding of structural document organization and production.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural analysis, calculations, and design support as assigned from sketches, verbal, or written instructions.
• Aid in the production of structural construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Develop an understanding of structural construction document organization and production.
• Learn and adhere to office standards of design, quality control, and production.
• Develop time-management skills, complete tasks accurately and on schedule, and take initiative to seek out guidance or additional tasks as needed.
• Maintain a detail-oriented approach and collaborate effectively with a variety of individuals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering program in Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering (with a structural emphasis).
• Basic skills in Revit to provide software support.
• Intermediate computer and software skills including MS Office.
• 0-2+ years structural design experience.

Qualifications

• Structural internship experience preferred.
• Structural software experience.
• Engineer in Training certification.

Pay

$66,200 - $86,900 annually, with compensation and level determined based on experience and qualifications.
