Responsibilities
- Analysis of biomolecular interactions and bio/molecules for Drug Discovery with biophysical methods – with a strong emphasis on Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR)
- Advise team on SPR best practice.
- Help the team optimize and flag any errors and inefficiencies.
- Advise internal team and CRO on any operational process improvements.
- Review and interpret data outputs such as binding affinity.
- Communicate insights to internal team and external vendors and partners.
- Provide data feedback with a 1 day turnaround.
Requirements
- Ideal Candidate: Seasoned structural biology or biophysics leader with 20+ years of drug discovery and development experience.
- Small Molecule experience is required.
- MS or PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, chemistry, biotechnology or a related field
- Protein immobilization and SPR protocol expertise required.
- Experience with Biacore is highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate and work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, as well as with external colleagues.
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent oral presentation skills.
- Ability to think critically with demonstrable troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced small startup environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
