Structural Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Structural Associate with expertise in demolition engineering, structural forensic investigation, litigation support, and structural repair design. Key responsibilities include overseeing large-scale demolition projects, managing forensic investigation projects, conducting structural analysis and repair design, organizing site visits, communicating with clients, preparing and reviewing technical reports, and mentoring junior-level staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee large-scale demolition projects, including review and oversight of demolition analysis and planning
• Manage forensic investigation projects
• Oversee and review structural analysis and repair design of concrete, steel, timber, masonry, and other structural systems
• Organize site visits to support forensic investigations and review site visit findings
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements
• Prepare and review technical and investigative reports to support forensic findings and prepare materials related to presentations
• Manage and mentor junior-level team members
• Actively supports business development efforts through proposal writing, client outreach, and relationship building

Requirements

• Master’s degree in structural engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 8+ years of structural engineering experience with demonstrated technical depth
• Field experience with various types of structures is a plus

Pay

The rate for this position generally is $130,000 - $150,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law.
