Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis to evaluate aircraft components and assemblies for strength, durability, and regulatory compliance.
- C Conduct finite element modeling (FEA), static stress, fatigue and damage tolerance, thermal, vibration, and structural analyses.
- Develop analytical models and engineering calculations to validate structural designs.
- Support structural sizing and optimization for metallic and composite structures.
- Prepare stress reports, substantiation reports, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Certification, and Product Support teams.
- Support design reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and post-delivery engineering activities.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable aerospace regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience with a BS, 3-6 years with an MS, or 0-3 years with a PhD.
- Knowledge of mechanics of materials, aircraft structures, and finite element modeling.
- Experience with static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace industry experience.
- Experience supporting aircraft certification programs.
- Knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations.
- Experience with metallic and composite structures.
- Proficiency with Nastran, Patran, HyperMesh, ANSYS, Abaqus, CATIA V5, or Siemens NX.
