STRONG Pilates- Fitness Instructor, Tribeca

About the role

Deliver STRONG Pilates classes based on set schedule. Provide personal attention during class, ensuring clear, precise cueing and correct form. Know client's injuries before class to modify as needed. Inspire and promote an energetic environment. Balance teaching, changing lights and music, and stay on top of timing and programming.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each client is introduced to the Rowformer and Bikeformer prior to class
• Proudly represent STRONG studio at all times
• Welcome clients by name and celebrate milestones
• Develop STRONG relationships with clients
• Assist in the sale of memberships, merchandise, and other offerings
• Maintain upkeep of the studio between classes including cleaning equipment, reformer maintenance, and restrooms
• Assist with washing/soaking/rolling of eucalyptus towels when requested
• Take pride in the studio like it is your own
• Handle client interactions from walk-ins, phone, and email as needed
• Aid in generating and converting membership sales

Qualifications

• 6+ months of group fitness teaching experience
• Reliable means of mobility for travel to studio location
• STRONG Academy certification (provided by STRONG)
• CPR and AED certification obtained through in-person training is required
• Preferred: Certified Personal Trainer or Pilates certification from a recognized organization

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Frequent physical activities, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Repetitive movements and moderate noise exposure
• Frequent standing and walking on hard surfaces
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
• Possible exposure to dust, chemicals, and cleaning solutions

Pay

Classes starting at $40-$100 per class, with commission eligibility
