Responsibilities
- Programmatic initiatives for the stroke sub-service line and assure compliance with DNV stroke certification requirements.
- Serves as the point of contact for stroke treatment throughout the hospital, and works collaboratively with the Stroke Committee and other key stakeholders on all stroke efforts.
- Functions as a clinician, an educator, a consultant and a researcher with the primary responsibility for promoting quality care for stroke patients.
- Care of stroke patients in order to meet multiple service needs, ensure continuity of care, and eliminate fragmentation of care and services in all settings across the continuum.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Work Experience: 3 years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care
- Licenses and Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure, Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License, NIHSS certification, CNRN - Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse, SCRN - Stroke Certified Registered Nurse
