Stroke Program Coordinator
Job Summary
The Stroke Coordinator for Mission Hospital is responsible for the development and maintenance of the quality of care delivered to stroke patients and their movement across the continuum of care. Serves as a clinical expert and resource to patient and family, nursing staff, other clinical staff, physicians and the community. Works in collaboration with various medical, clinical and administrative staff to achieve desired outcomes and compliance with evidence based practice, requirements from The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS and other accrediting bodies.
Qualifications
Required Education: Associates degree in Nursing
Preferred Education: Bachelors degree in Nursing
Required License: NC RN license
PREFERRED License: Certified Neuroscience RN or Stroke Certified RN
Required Experience: 3-5 years acute clinical experience
PREFERRED Experience: 1 year of clinical experience specific to stroke care, care management, utilization management or quality improvement experience.
Computer skills including proficiency in data entry, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
