Stripping Crew Operator

About the role

The position requires an Operator in Heavy Civil construction who will operate various types of power construction equipment such as dozers, excavators, rollers, loaders, haul trucks, motor graders, and skid steers.

Responsibilities

• Operate several types of power construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Work on projects involving road building, earth moving, site grading, landscaping, or sewer/water work.
• Tolerate and work in variable weather conditions and dirty/dusty environments.
• Be punctual and dependable, capable of working varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
• GPS Machine Control knowledge preferred.
• A Class A CDL is preferred.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Union membership is not required prior to employment, but members of the appropriate trade union or willing to join one are required.
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
• Ability to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions and dirty/dusty environments.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. Prior experience in road building, earth moving, site grading, landscaping, or sewer/water is desirable.
