Work Location: Vermont Air National Guard Base, 108 NCO Drive, South Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont 05403. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Requires a National Background Check with Inquiries, fingerprints, and drug screen.
Schedule
- Full-time, estimated 40 hours per week
- Tuesday through Saturday, 0600–1700, with typical five-hour shifts of 0700–1200 or 1200–1700
- Approximately eight night weeks per year may extend work as late as 2000; night-week schedules are coordinated about two weeks in advance
Pay
$32.25/hour
Qualifications
- Fully trained, licensed, and certified under Vermont and industry requirements
- Must maintain Strength/Conditioning Specialist certifications and licensure
- Must hold and maintain active CPR/AED certification
- Must demonstrate enhanced neck/back injury training such as McKenzie Method or equivalent
- Copies of all certifications and resumes must be submitted with your application
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized strength and conditioning programs to optimize fighter aircrew performance and reduce injury risk
- Instruct proper exercise techniques and safe equipment operation
- Monitor participant performance and track training progress
- Modify training programs based on injuries, limitations, or performance goals
- Conduct fitness assessments and evaluate physical readiness
- Educate personnel on strength training, conditioning, and injury prevention
- Maintain training records and prepare required program reports
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe training environment
Attire
- Wear approved professional clothing appropriate to the environment while on duty
- Footwear must be closed-toe, flat-bottom, and completely cover the feet; fluid resistance and non-slip soles are preferred
