About the role

D1 Training is seeking a World-Class Coach who loves the fitness industry and can step in on day one to work with any client. This coaching position is at one of the top D1 Training locations, serving a diverse range of athletes—from professional and college-bound athletes to a 40-year-old mother getting fit or a 7-year-old training for the first time. The role is vital to the growth of the D1 brand and offers the opportunity to impact thousands of lives while taking your career to the next level.

Key skills required for position

  • CHARACTER. This coach must have world-class character and align with our core values. You must show up every single day ready to have fun with high energy. If you don’t bring the juice or are up and down day to day, you won’t make it on this high-performance team.
  • COACH. This coach should be able to step in on day 1 and work with anyone. We have classes for 7-11 year olds, 12-14 year olds, 15-18 year olds, and adults. We also offer one-on-one personal training and these athletes can range from 7 years old to adults. You can’t have an ego around those you work with and must LOVE coaching everyone.

Job summary

  • Maximize client retention through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability.
  • Modify and adapt movements that are best suited for the individual at hand.
  • A D1 Coach must be dedicated to training and improving the lives of D1’s members: Scholastic (ages 7-18), Adults, and Teams.
  • Exhibit passion, expertise, high energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service.
  • Start and finish workouts on time.
  • Assess and align each member with the proper program.
  • Build and maintain relationships with each D1 member.
  • Coach group workouts, personal training, and teams.
  • Teach proper form and technique and keep all athletes safe.
  • Deliver clients the BEST workout experience in the industry. The Coach is the front-line customer experience at D1.
  • Demonstrate a passion for training athletes of all ages, from 7 years old to adult athletes.
  • Maintain a high level of coaching as a Level 1 Certified coach in the D1Way, adhering to the latest brand standards and quality control measures.
  • Assist in conducting assessments and goal setting during the FTA process, ensuring athletes are prescribed, motivated, and committed to the proper program to reach their goals.
  • Conduct and lead all classes the D1 Way—requiring proper attire, proper music, loud verbal coaching, understanding/enforcing coaching cues, organizing the group sessions, and ensuring the tempo and transition of all the groups.
  • Help maintain equipment and cleaning of training spaces.
  • Maintain equipment, cleaning, and organization of all training areas.
  • Participate in marketing events such as competitions, combines, etc.

Qualifications

  • Has a valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification.
  • MUST HAVE at least one valid certification accredited by the NCCA, preferably CSCS.
  • Minimum of 2 years of strength & conditioning-related experience in group, team, or personal training.
  • A bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field (preferred).

Pay

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
