Stream Design Lead - Nashville

Key Responsibilities

• Apply expertise in fluvial geomorphology, hydrology, hydraulics, sediment transport, and natural channel design.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for design work.
• Engage with clients, conduct fieldwork, mentor team members, and contribute to technical writing and project management.
• Build and maintain client relationships while pursuing business development opportunities for stream and wetland restoration projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Tennessee or ability to obtain one.
• Hands-on experience in natural channel and wetland restoration design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Able to lead design teams, produce final engineering plans, author reports, and prepare permit applications.
• Skilled in reviewing and providing detailed feedback on engineering drawings.
• Experience with construction inspection and oversight for stream and wetland projects.

Preferred Skills

• Rosgen Levels 1-4 certification.
• Familiarity with MicroStation and ArcGIS.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools such as HEC-RAS or HEC-HMS.
• Knowledge of Clean Water Act Sections 401 and 404 and permitting processes with state and federal agencies.
• Experience using Tennessee Stream Quantification Tool (SQT) Assessment.
