Join our Go-to-Market Sales Strategy & Planning team, a highly collaborative group driving transformative sales strategies and market execution. Responsibilities
As a GTM Strategy and Planning Consultant - GSSO (Global Specialist Sales Organization), you will lead the development and execution of sales and GTM strategies to achieve top-line growth and market expansion. You will partner with diverse collaborator groups to align on priorities, critical metrics, and actionable plans while analyzing data and market trends to drive informed decision-making. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence business trajectory and contribute to Cisco's success.
Requirements
- 2-3+ years in management consulting or corporate strategy, ideally with a top-tier consulting firm or technology company
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis, with experience using tools like Excel, Alteryx, and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree, or demonstrated success and promotions within the relevant field
- Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and performance benchmarking within SaaS, cloud, or cybersecurity industries
- Proven ability to think both strategically and operationally, solving complex business challenges
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, including experience presenting to senior leadership
- Strong ability to manage multiple cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A proactive, adaptable approach to navigating change and delivering results in an ambiguous environment

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $198,500.00 to $273,800.00 for new hires in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. Below are the full salary ranges for specific locations:
- New York City Metro Area: $198,500.00 - $324,100.00
- Non-Metro New York State & Washington State: $180,200.00 - $278,600.00
For quota-based sales roles, the ranges include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.

Paid time away includes:

- Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at 4.92 hours per pay period
- Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program, with no defined limit on vacation time (subject to business limitations)
- 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, with up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward annually
- Additional paid time away may be requested for critical or emergency family issues
- Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
For non-sales roles, employees are eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco’s policies. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays:
- 0.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota
- 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%
- 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%
- Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation
For non-quota-based sales performance elements, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Sales plans do not have a minimum threshold for incentive compensation payout.
