New Verticals Lead

We are seeking a New Verticals Lead to expand Broccoli's reach across home service industries. Our platform currently serves HVAC, electrical, and plumbing contractors but is poised to extend to other sectors such as roofing, garage maintenance, lawn care, pest control, and more. This role involves developing deep expertise in each new vertical, shaping the product roadmap based on customer insights, evolving onboarding and customer success strategies, and owning the go-to-market approach for each segment.

  • What You’ll Do:

    • Develop deep vertical expertise by spending time with customers in each new vertical to understand their unique businesses, workflows, economics, and pain points.

    • Shape the product roadmap by vertical, translating customer insights into prioritized product investments and working with product managers and engineers on key workflows, integrations, and configurations.

    • Evolve onboarding and customer success strategies, designing how we onboard, activate, and retain customers in each segment, and building the playbooks the customer success team uses to scale.

    • Own the go-to-market approach for each vertical, positioning Broccoli as the best choice, creating marketing materials, managing partnerships, and strategizing for trade shows and channels.

    • Build the new-vertical playbook, defining the repeatable framework Broccoli uses to enter, validate, and scale every future vertical.

    • Measure and iterate, setting success metrics for each expansion and holding yourself and the cross-functional team accountable to them.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 6+ years of experience as an operator at a PE-backed home services company, a top-tier strategy consulting firm (Bain, BCG, McKinsey), or a high-growth startup.

  • High agency and strong analytical skills, including the ability to structure ambiguous problems, build business cases, and test assumptions with data.

  • Excellent executive communication, able to distill complex operational data into clear insights for both internal and customer-facing audiences.

  • Operator instincts, capable of earning trust quickly when sitting across the table from a roofing company owner or a pest control franchise general manager.

  • Cross-functional fluency, having worked closely with product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams and knowing how to influence without authority.

  • Excitement to work in person in San Francisco. A bonus would be prior experience in home services, field services, or vertical SaaS.

Compensation Range: $200K - $270K
