Strategy Manager
About the role
Join the Ford Motor Credit Company team and help put people behind the wheels of great Ford and Lincoln vehicles. As a Strategy Manager, you’ll influence Ford Credit’s global strategy and new business initiatives, reporting to the Strategy Director & CEO Chief of Staff. This role offers the opportunity to lead specific strategy projects and support the broader strategic planning process, working across Engineering, Product, Risk, and Finance to shape the future of Ford Credit and maintain a sustainable competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end strategic initiatives from ideation through executive alignment, defining critical-path roadmaps and managing cross-functional workstreams.
- Synthesize complex financial, operational, and market concepts into board-ready strategy papers and compelling presentations for executive leadership.
- Build robust business cases for new growth opportunities, including market expansion, strategic partnerships, M&A, and commercial innovation across B2B fleet electrification, fintech, and credit economics.
- Formulate initial hypotheses on complex business problems and market shifts to guide multidisciplinary teams across Finance, Risk, Tech, and Product.
- Develop strategic insights on the fintech landscape, auto finance trends, macro shifts, and emerging technologies to drive long-term balance sheet and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate strategy sprint sessions and design-thinking workshops to translate high-level concepts into actionable corporate strategies.
- Serve as a visible, collaborative strategy partner at Ford Credit HQ, fostering active cross-functional alignment and championing enterprise goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting, Investment Banking, or Global Strategy Development within Financial Services, Fintech, or Automotive.
- Proven track record of independently driving high-stakes strategic projects and influencing senior executive stakeholders (VP / C-suite / Board level).
- Exceptional quantitative, qualitative, and financial modeling skills with the ability to interpret large datasets, evaluate unit economics, and derive actionable business insights.
- Strong executive gravitas, proactive posture, and comfort navigating ambiguity without relying on prescriptive direction.
- Demonstrated capability in developing complex strategic frameworks that drive business growth and operational performance.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to build executive-ready presentations that tell a clear, compelling story from hypothesis to recommendation.
- Ability to work onsite at Ford Credit HQ in Dearborn, MI to drive active cross-functional collaboration and lead matrixed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or relevant graduate degree from a top-tier business school.
- Proactive, self-motivated mindset with experience solving white-space problems across global teams.
- Deep familiarity with strategic frameworks, innovation constructs, and corporate capital allocation models.
- Fluency in auto-finance mechanics, securitization/funding models, or commercial B2B fleet financing.
- Experience leveraging AI/tech transformation constructs to drive operational velocity and cost efficiency.

Pay
This position is leadership level 5 and ranges from $141,700–$268,300. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility, and competitive market value.
Schedule
This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
